This piece originates in the 1940's. Along the curvy kidney shape top, two arms swing out where a curtain would be hung and opened up while primping was done. An ad from the 1937 Sears & Roebuck Spring/Summer catalog shows a very similar vanity.

this vintage retro table can be used as a dressing table, computer desk, or as a vanity table, which was its intended use upon initial creation. A skirt once adorned the table from top to floor around the parameter of the table top to create a touch of elegance and could easily be added.
